My name is Alex Dunham and I am the guy behind The Bullpen Blog, a sports blog dedicated to baseball; more specifically the art of pitching.
Currently I reside in East Lansing, Michigan, going to Michigan State University to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Advertising. I play in local baseball leagues from time to time, but after my senior year of high school, I decided that my dreams of playing in the majors didn’t sound as appealing as they once did, and pursued a college career defined by academic merit, not baseball.
I’ve played the great game of baseball for a majority of my life, going on 16 years now, having played 5 years of traveling club baseball (11U-16U) and trained professionally throughout these years. Baseball is a passion of mine, and has been since I can remember. The only thing I love more than the game of baseball is pitching. During my time playing club ball I’ve picked up a vast array of knowledge on the subject of pitching, and garnered as much or more experience. This is what’s most important. I won’t try to convince you that I know best because the fact is, I have no college or professional baseball experience and likely never will.
I only created this blog to share knowledge that I’ve learned from instructors, coaches, and players who have made it to those levels of play and only ask that you take its content with a grain of salt and judge solely based on it’s merit and effectiveness. I hope some of the content I post can help any and all young pitchers and/or their fathers who come to this site in order to learn more about the art of pitching.
